Overnight Ramp Closures Scheduled on Eastbound State Route 24 at Pleasant Hill Road in Lafayette

October 30 – November 1 and November 7–8, 2026

Contra Costa County — Caltrans Construction will perform emergency bridge settlement repair work along eastbound State Route 24 (SR-24) at Pleasant Hill Road in Lafayette starting with two consecutive weekends, beginning Friday, October 30, 2026, on the will be conducting of upcoming overnight ramp closures.

The closures will affect the eastbound SR-24 Pleasant Hill Road off-ramp and the southbound Pleasant Hill Road loop on-ramp to eastbound SR-24. Motorists traveling through the area should anticipate temporary ramp closures, possible delays, and construction equipment near the roadway. Please use proceeding ramps as detours. Scheduled Closure Details

• First Weekend: Friday, October 30, through Sunday, November 1, 2026
• Second Weekend: Saturday, November 7, through Sunday, November 8, 2026
• Time: Midnight to 7 a.m.
• Closure: Full closure of the EB SR-24 Pleasant Hill Road off-ramp and the SB Pleasant Hill Road loop on-ramp to EB SR-24

What Motorists Can Expect

Motorists traveling along eastbound SR-24 and Pleasant Hill Road during the scheduled overnight work hours may experience delays, temporary ramp restrictions, and changes to their usual travel.

Traffic Control Measures:

Changeable message signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra time. Please drive with caution through the construction zone.

This project is tentatively scheduled to the complete by January 2027.
