8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10 through 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11
Alameda County — Caltrans is scheduled to fully close SR-84 (Niles Canyon Road) at the Arroyo de la Laguna Bridge in Sunol from 8 p.m. Saturday, October 10, through 10 a.m. Sunday, October 11, as crews pour concrete for the new bridge deck.
The closure will be limited to the section of SR-84 between Sunol Corners and Main Street. Unlike the previous closure for bridge girder installation, this work will not require the closure of any ramps or other sections of SR-84.
Crews will pour concrete to construct the new bridge deck, an important step in the replacement of the Arroyo de la Laguna Bridge.
A full closure is necessary to provide crews with a safe work area during concrete placement and related construction activities.
