Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following mornings
Solano County — Caltrans Construction is scheduled to start paving State Route 29 (Sonoma Boulevard) during a 6-mile stretch. The closure will start at Sequoia Ave. (Maritime Academy Dr.) on Monday, Sept. 21, from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. the next mornings.
Lane closures are necessary to complete major pavement work and for the safety of the crews and public. Two lanes will be closed, and one lane will always be open for traffic. Work will be done at night to minimize traffic impact.
Schedule:
9/21 to 9/25 – The six miles from Sequoia Avenue to Mini Drive. will be grinded, meaning the top layer of asphalt will be removed and prepped for new asphalt.
9/28 to 10/12 – Segment 3 (Mississippi Drive to county line) will be paved.
10/13 to 10/19 – Segment 1 (Sequoia Avenue to Curtola Parkway) will be paved.
10/20 to 10/23 – Segment 2 (Curtola Parkway to Mississippi Street)
What to expect?
Pedestrians should be aware of detours due to closed off areas. If pedestrians need to cross while work is happening, please make a worker aware, and they will assist you in getting across the street.
When grinding and paving is occurring adjacent to the sidewalk alleys and parking zones will be closed on a rolling basis. Motorists are advised to avoid the area or use alternate routes in the areas with closed alleys.
