Lane, Ramp Closures Scheduled Nightly on US-101 for Capital Preventive Maintenance Project in Marin County

US 101 Capital Preventative Maintenance Project in Marin County Project Map, from the Wornum Creek Undercrossing to the Miller Creek Bridge.

Marin County — Caltrans is scheduled to continue its Capital Preventive Maintenance project along US-101 in September.

Various southbound lanes will be closed on Southbound US-101 from Monday, Sept. 14 through the morning of Saturday, Sept. 19 from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. the next mornings. Northbound lanes will be closed from 11 p.m. until 6 a.m. during that same time frame.

The southbound US-101 off-ramp to Lucky Drive is scheduled to be closed between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. The off-ramp to Lucky Drive is scheduled to be closed from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.

The southbound on-ramp from westbound and eastbound Sir Francis Drake Boulevard is scheduled to be closed from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.

The northbound US-101 on-ramp from Southbound Redwood Highway will be closed from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.

This project will pave US-101 and the on- and off-ramps from Wornum Creek Undercrossing to the Miller Creek Bridge.

All work is weather dependent.

Detour for Southbound US-101 on-ramp from Lucky Drive

  • Continue on Tamal Vista Boulevard
  • Turn left on to Fifer Avenue
  • Turn left on to Lucky Drive
  • Turn right on to Doherty Drive
  • Turn left on to Magnolia Avenue
  • Turn left on to Redwood Avenue
  • Continue on to Tamalpais Drive
  • Use the right lane to merge on to Northbound US-101
  • Head southeast on Fifer Avenue

Detour for Southbound on-ramp from Sir Francis Drake Boulevard

  • Continue on to Sir Francis Drake Boulevard
  • Turn left on to Northbound US-101
  • Take the 451 off-ramp to Richmond Bridge/Francisco Blvd/I-580
  • Turn right on to Bellam Boulevard
  • Turn right on to Andersen Drive
  • Turn right on to Francisco Boulevard West
  • Turn right on to Southbound US-101

Detour for Northbound US-101 on-ramp from Redwood Highway

  • From SB Redwood Highway, continue southeast on to Redwood Frontage Road
  • Turn right on to Manuel T. Freitas Parkway
  • Turn right on to Las Gallinas Avenue
  • Turn right on to Lucas Valley Road
  • Take Northbound US-101 on-ramp at Smith Ranch Road
  • From NB Redwood Highway, continue on to Redwood Frontage Road
  • Turn left on to Smith Ranch Road
  • Merge on to Northbound US-101 at Smith Ranch Road

The target completion of the project is summer of 2027, weather permitting.
