Lane, Ramp Closures Scheduled Nightly on US-101 for Capital Preventive Maintenance Project in Marin County

US 101 Capital Preventative Maintenance Project in Marin County Project Map, from the Wornum Creek Undercrossing to the Miller Creek Bridge.

Marin County — Caltrans is scheduled to continue its Capital Preventive Maintenance project along US-101 in September.

Various lanes will be closed on Southbound US-101 from Tuesday, Sept. 8 through the morning of Saturday, Sept. 12 from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. The locations are near Lucky Drive and from Bellam Boulevard to Miller Creek.

The Southbound US-101 off-ramp to Lucky Drive is scheduled to be closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. The Southbound US-101 on ramp to Lucky Drive is scheduled to be closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

The Southbound US-101 on-ramp from Westbound and Eastbound Sir Francis Drake Boulevard is closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

This project will pave US-101 and the on- and off-ramps from Wornum Creek Undercrossing to the Miller Creek Bridge.

The project covers approximately 7.30 miles, totaling 54.2 lane miles of roadway improvements.

All work is weather dependent.

Detour for Lucky Drive on-ramp closure

  • Continue on Tamal Vista Boulevard
  • Turn left on to Fifer Avenue
  • Turn left on to Lucky Drive
  • Turn right on to Doherty Drive
  • Turn left on to Magnolia Avenue
  • Turn left on to Redwood Avenue
  • Continue on to Tamalpais Drive
  • Use the right lane to merge on to Northbound US-101
  • Head southeast on Fifer Avenue

Detour for Southbound US-101 on-ramp for Sir Francis Drake

  • Continue on to Sir Francis Drake Boulevard
  • Turn left on to Northbound US-101
  • Take the off-ramp to Richmond Bridge/Francisco Blvd./I-580
  • Turn right on to Bellam Boulevard
  • Turn right on to Andersen Drive
  • Turn right on to Francisco Boulevard West
  • Turn right on to Southbound US-101
  • Head west on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard
  • Turn right on to Wolfe Grade
  • Wolfe Grade becomes D Street
  • Turn right on to Second Street
  • Turn right to merge on to Southbound US-101

The target completion of the project is summer of 2027, weather permitting.
