First phase of work to occur on SR-82 (El Camino Real) from 08/10 through 08/14
San Mateo County — Caltrans will begin a series of nighttime pavement striping and crosswalk upgrades at various locations throughout San Mateo County. Work will occur in phases along portions of U.S. 101, State Route 92, and State Route 82.
Phase 1: SR-82 (El Camino Real)
The first phase of work will take place Monday, August 10, through Friday, August 14, on State Route 82 (El Camino Real) on northbound and southbound directions between F Street in Belmont and Third Avenue in San Mateo.
Work will occur nightly from 9:01 p.m. to 7:59 a.m. Crews will remove existing pavement striping and apply new pavement markings, including upgrades to crosswalks.
Traffic Impacts
- One through-lane will remain open in the active direction of travel at all times.
- Drivers should expect nighttime lane closures and allow additional time to travel through the work zone.
- Localized machinery and equipment noise is expected during nighttime work hours.
Additional phases will be scheduled at locations along the affected routes throughout San Mateo County.
