Contra Costa County — Caltrans will perform overnight drainage work on SR-4 between Interstate 80 and McEwen Road, resulting in lane closures in both directions. This work involves drainage improvements to maintain roadway integrity and improve stormwater flow along the SR-4 corridor.

Closure Details: All work is weather dependent and subject to change

Location: Eastbound SR-4 Between WB I-80 to McEwen Road

  • Closure Type: Alternating lane closures (Lane #1 and #2 of 3)

Location: Westbound SR-4 Between McEwen Road and I-80 corridor limits

  • Closure Type: Lane #2 closure (2 of 2 lanes affected intermittently)
  • Date: Friday, July 10, 2026
  • Time: 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. (following morning)
