San Mateo County — Caltrans has implemented a signalized one-way traffic control on State Route 84 near La Honda as crews begin construction work to address erosion in the San Gregorio creek.

Crews will be working Monday-Friday from 7:00 AM-4:00 PM as they build a new retaining wall, which will prevent erosion in the San Gregorio Creek. Some weekend work should be expected.

Caltrans did implement signalized one-way traffic control including additional measures such as rumble strips to alert drivers of the upcoming lane reduction on SR-84.

Changeable message signs in the area have been activated to assist motorists.

Drivers should expect delays of up to five minutes.
