Napa County – Caltrans has scheduled an overnight full closure of both northbound and southbound lanes on State Route 29 (SR-29) between Rutherford Road and Oakville Cross Road in Rutherford, Napa County on Thursday, April 30 and Friday, May 1.

The closures are required to allow construction crews to safely complete the final paving and install the southbound metal beam guard rail as part of ongoing roadway and culvert repairs.

Caltrans thanks motorists for their patience as we work to maintain California's highways. All work is weather dependent.

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • Thursday, April 30 from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM (Friday morning)
  • • Friday, May 1 from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM (Saturday morning)

Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time and follow all posted detour signs.

Detours routes will be posted as follows
Detour Routes:

Detour SR-29 Northbound toward St. Helena/Calistoga

  • Turn right onto Oakville Cross Road
  • Turn Left onto Silverado Trail Road
  • Turn Left onto SR-128 to Rutherford to get onto SR-29

Detour SR-29 Southbound toward the city of Napa

  • Turn left onto SR-128 in Rutherford
  • Turn right onto Silverado Road
  • Turn right onto Oakville Cross Road to get onto SR-29.
