Alameda and Contra Costa Counties – Caltrans had recently scheduled overnight closures of Bore 1 in the Caldecott Tunnel, located on eastbound State Route 24 (SR-24) in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties, to perform lighting upgrades and routine maintenance. However, tonight's closure has been canceled due to weather conditions. The closure originally planned for Thursday, April 2, 2026, is still scheduled to proceed from 10:00 PM to 4:30 AM, weather permitting. Please note all scheduled work is subject to change based on weather conditions.
