Alameda and Contra Costa Counties – Caltrans has scheduled a nighttime closure of Bore 2 of the Caldecott Tunnel on eastbound State Route 24 (SR-24) for tunnel washing, routine maintenance, and drainage cleaning.

- Thursday, February 26, 2026 –closed from 10:00 PM to 4:30 AM
*During the closure, bore 1 will remain open.

Traffic Control Measures:
Changeable message signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra time. Please drive with caution through the construction zone. Slow for the Cone Zone.
