Alameda County – Due to maintenance work and to ensure the safety of crews and the public, Caltrans will continue the following closures in the Posey Tube (Alameda–Oakland). These closures are needed to complete essential work within the available construction window.
Nightly Posey Tube Closures
Planned closure for Friday 13, 2026 has been CANCELED
Scheduled: Wednesday (Feb 11) Through Friday (Feb 13).
- Single Lane Closure 10 PM to 11 PM
- Full Posey Tube closure from 11 PM to 5 AM
- Single Lane closure from 5 AM to 6 AM
This work to be completed Saturday, Feb 14 at 6 AM.
Looking Ahead: Closures planned for next week are pending and will be confirmed based on how work progresses this week.
During this time, motorists are advised to use alternate routes and allow extra travel time. Work includes repairing damaged concrete and improving the roadway surface on the Posey Tube bridge deck and approaches.
Be Work Zone Alert and expect travel delays.
