Overnight Closures Scheduled for Posey Tube & Webster Tube Continues Due to Maintenance Operations

Alameda County – Due to maintenance operations and to ensure the safety of the crews and the public, Caltrans will implement the following closures in the Webster Tunnel (Oakland–Alameda) and Posey Tunnel ( Alameda-Oakland).

Caltrans understands that there is never a good time to close a state highways, due to weather conditions, work had to be rescheduled to the available windows to ensure safe operations and complete separate operations prior to the start of the Oakland Alameda Access Project.

Posey & Webster Tube Closures – This Week
Monday, January 26
 Posey Tube

  • Full Closure: 11:00 PM – 5:00 AM

Tuesday, January 27
Webster Tube

  • Lane Closure: 7:00 PM – 12:00 AM
  • Full Closure: 11:00 PM – 5:00 AM
  • Lane Closure: 5:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Wednesday, January 28 – Thursday, January 29
Webster or Posey Tube (To Be Confirmed)

  • Lane Closure: 7:00 PM – 12:00 AM
  • Full Closure: 11:00 PM – 5:00 AM
  • Lane Closure: 5:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Work includes removing parts of the roadway, installing new drainage pipes, and repairing concrete.

Please note that one tube will always remain open.
