U.S. 101 SB Central Freeway to U.S. SB 101 Freeway Connector Ramp Weekend Closure

San Francisco — Caltrans is announcing the weekend closure of the U.S. 101 SB Central Freeway connector ramp and the 10th St. on ramp to the U.S. SB 101 Freeway. This work is required to support necessary connector joint work needed on the ramp structure. Closure begins Friday, October 2 at 11 p.m. until Monday October 5, 6 a.m.

The closure is necessary to allow crews to safely perform work along the connector. During this closure, motorists will not be able to access the 10th St on ramp. However, the 7th St. on ramp is recommended.

Detour Information:
Motorists are strongly encouraged to use the 7th St. on ramp as the primary detour. Drivers who do not take the 7th Street on ramp will be routed onto the Central to eastbound connector, then required to:

• Exit at 4th Street
• Loop around via 3rd Street
• Re‑enter the freeway using the 5th Street on‑ramp

Caltrans advises motorists to allow extra travel time and follow posted detour signs. The closure is necessary to ensure worker safety and to facilitate efficient completion of the connector joint repairs.
