San Francisco — Caltrans has scheduled a series of overnight lane closures for January 5-10, on U.S. 101 Bayshore (Hospital Curve) and the I-80 freeways to continue progress on the Bayshore and Hospital Curve rehabilitation projects. These closures will help ensure the safety of work crews and the traveling public. By restricting traffic to specific lanes during the overnight hours, Caltrans provides a necessary buffer for workers to operate heavy machinery and perform complex repairs while motorists travel through the zone at a safe distance. The nighttime closures will also help reduce the impact on daily commuters. From Thursday to Saturday, lane closures will occur on alternate lanes. Throughout all closures motorists will always have access to the remaining open lanes while work is in progress.

- New signage, striping, and safety devices.
