State Route 24 (SR-24) Caldecott Tunnel Overnight Closure Bores #1 and 2 Maintenance Work

Bore 1, Tuesday December 2nd and Bore 2, Wednesday December 3rd10:00 PM to 4:30 AM

Alameda and Contra Costa Counties – Caltrans has scheduled overnight closures of Bores 1and 2 of the Caldecott Tunnel on eastbound State Route 24 (SR-24) for maintenance. All work is weather dependent.

Closure Schedule of eastbound SR-24:

Bore #1 Closure

• Tuesday, December 2, 2025 –closed from 10:00 PM to 4:30 AM

Bore #2 Closure

• Wednesday, December 3, 2025 –closed from 10:00 PM to 4:30 AM

During the work, all other bores in each direction will remain open.

Traffic Control Measures:
Changeable message signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra time. Please drive with caution through the construction zone. Slow for the Cone Zone.
