San Mateo County ― Caltrans has scheduled electrical and barrier placement work between Moss Beach and Half Moon Bay starting on Monday, December 1. Various right-hand lanes, turn pockets, and shoulders near intersections will be closed overnight beginning on Monday, December 1st and lasting 1-2 weeks from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. while crews place temporary concrete barriers. (There will not be lane closures on Saturday or Sunday nights.) Traffic control personnel will be onsite to guide traffic and pedestrians through any affected areas.

Residents should expect some overnight noise while the heavy, temporary concrete barriers are placed on the roadway which will protect pedestrians and construction crews during construction.

Curb ramp and sidewalk work will take place between Moss Beach and Half Moon Bay starting on Monday, December 1 and last approximately 1-2 months. Curb ramps will meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards, ensuring safe access while work is underway. Pedestrians will have access through or around the work areas.
