Closure Details:
- Multiple lanes closed on Westbound I-80 Bay Bridge, between the metering lights and the YBI Tunnel. At least one lane will always remain open.
- Full closure of the YBI On-ramp to Westbound I-80 toward San Francisco. A detour will be in place (see below).
Detour (from Treasure Island/YBI to San Francisco):
- Take the Eastbound I-80 on-ramp toward Oakland.
- Stay in the far-left lane and follow signs to the Toll Plaza exit.
- Follow detour signs to re-enter Westbound I-80 toward San Francisco.
Work Schedule:
Friday, November 14, 10:00 p.m. – Saturday, November 15, 4:00 a.m.
(Schedule subject to change due to field or weather conditions.)
Traffic Impacts:
- During this work, motorists traveling from Treasure Island/YBI to San Francisco will not have direct access through the tunnel.
- Drivers will be temporarily detoured toward Oakland, then redirected at the Toll Plaza to return Westbound toward San Francisco.
Caltrans will have detour signage and traffic control personnel in place to guide motorists. Delays are expected, and drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time. Caltrans thanks the public for its patience as we safely complete this seasonal installation.
