Day, Night Ramp, Lane Closures for Westbound, Eastbound SR-37 Capital Preventive Maintenance Project in Marin County

Marin County — Caltrans will continue its Capital Preventive Maintenance project in October on Westbound and Eastbound State Route 37 (SR-37) in between Atherton Avenue and the Petaluma River Bridge in Novato for electrical repair work, roadside stabilization and paving.

The SR-37/ Southbound US-101/S. Novato Boulevard connector to EB-37 and the EB-37 ramp to Marsh Drive are scheduled to be closed on Tuesday, Oct. 21 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the next morning.

Portable Changeable Message Signs will be in place to guide drivers from Southbound US-101/S. Novato Boulevard to EB-37 using the Bel Marin Keys Boulevard exit. Drivers on EB-37 intending to exit on Marsh Drive will need to use the next exit and turn around.

A lane is scheduled to be closed for roadside stabilization on Eastbound SR-37 from Tuesday, Oct. 21 through Friday, Oct. 24 from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. each day. At least one lane will be open for traffic.

Lanes are scheduled to be closed for paving on Eastbound and Westbound SR-37 between Wednesday, Oct. 22 through Friday, Oct. 24 between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. the next mornings.

All construction Is weather dependent.

This capital maintenance pavement rehabilitation project involves paving and median barrier work in Novato. The project will grind and re-pave the roadway between the Ignacio overhead to the Petaluma River Bridge – a stretch of about three miles.
