Alameda County — Caltrans is continuing construction on the JOC Middle Mile Broadband Project along Interstate 580 (I-580), extending from San Leandro to State Route 24 (SR-24) in Oakland. Work is progressing eastbound from Oakland toward San Leandro. Sunday through Thursday, 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM, requiring Limited clearing and grubbing operations will take place at select locations to prepare for vault and conduit installations. The project is expected to be completed in late 2026.

Closure Schedule
Sunday–Thursday, 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM (each night)

Eastbound I-580 Rolling Lane Closures:

  • Between Keller Avenue and Park Boulevard

On-Ramp Closures:

  • Harrison Street and Oakland Avenue to westbound I-580

Off-Ramp Closures:

  • Eastbound and westbound Golf Links Road and 98th Avenue from I-580
