Alameda and Contra Costa Counties – Caltrans has scheduled overnight closures of Bore 4 of the Caldecott Tunnel on Westbound State Route 24 (SR-24) for tunnel washing and maintenance.
Starting Monday, September 29, 2025, through Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 10:00 PM to 4:30 AM each night. During the work, all other bores in each direction will remain open. All work is weather-dependent.
Traffic Control Measures:
Changeable message signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra time. Please drive with caution through the construction zone. Slow for the Cone Zone.
