Richmond-San Rafael Bridge (Interstate 580) Nighttime Closure Eastbound Lane #2 and right shoulder for Maintenance

Scheduled Friday, August 1, 2025, 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM

Contra Costa County & Marin County — Caltrans will conduct overnight maintenance on the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge (I-580), closing the right shoulder and Lane #2 on the eastbound lower deck Friday, August 1, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM. This closure will span the entire length of the bridge, while eastbound Lane #1 will remain open.

Closure Details:

• Eastbound I-580, Richmond-San Rafael Bridge Lane #2 and right shoulder will be Closed Friday August 1st ,7:00 PM to 6:00AM

Traffic Control Measures:
Changeable Message Signs (CMS) will alert drivers of closure. Motorists should expect minor delays, reduce speed, and plan extra travel time.
