San Mateo County ― Caltrans has scheduled ramp closures on U.S. 101 at University Avenue in East Palo Alto so that crews can perform permanent striping operations and electrical work.
Southbound Closure Schedule
- Monday July 21 9 p.m.–5 a.m.
- Tuesday July 22 9 p.m.–5 a.m.
- Wednesday July 23 9 p.m.–5 a.m.
- Thursday July 24 9 p.m.–5 a.m.
- Friday July 25 9 p.m.–9 a.m. (Sat)
Northbound Closure Schedule
- Wednesday July 23 9 p.m. – 5 a.m.
- Thursday July 24 9 p.m. – 5 a.m.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra time for their commute. Please drive with caution.
Detour information:
- To access eastbound University Ave. from southbound U.S. 101, take the off-ramp to Embarcadero Rd, then take the on-ramp to northbound U.S. 101, then take the off-ramp to Donohoe St, and continue straight onto eastbound University Ave.
- To access southbound U.S. 101 from University Ave., take westbound University Ave, then turn right onto Middlefield Rd, then turn right onto Willow Rd, and finally enter the on-ramp to southbound U.S.101.
- To access University Ave. from northbound U.S. 101, take the off-ramp at Willow Road and turn right onto Willow Ave, and then turn right on Newbridge St. to enter University Ave.
