Ramp Closure on Southbound U.S. 101 at University Avenue in East Palo Alto from Tuesday, July 8 - Saturday, July 12

Ramp closed nightly starting at 9 p.m.
Ramp opens on weekdays at 5 a.m., Saturday at 9 a.m.

San Mateo County ― Caltrans has scheduled a ramp closure on southbound U.S. 101 at University Avenue in East Palo Alto so that crews can perform paving operations. The ramp closure is scheduled for:

Tuesday, July 8 from 9 p.m.– 5 a.m.
Wednesday, July 9 from 9 p.m.– 5 a.m.
Thursday, July 10 from 9 p.m.– 5 a.m.
Friday, July 11 from 9 p.m.–9 a.m.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra time for their commute. Please drive with caution.

Detour information:

  1. To access eastbound University Ave from southbound 101, take the off-ramp to Embarcadero Rd, then take the on-ramp to northbound 101, then take the off-ramp to Donohoe St, and continue straight onto eastbound University Ave.
  2. To access southbound 101 from University Ave, take westbound University Ave, then turn right onto Middlefield Rd, then turn right onto Willow Rd, and finally enter the on-ramp to southbound 101.
