San Francisco – Caltrans will be closing the northbound and southbound Monterey Blvd. ramps on Interstate 280 between the Alemany Blvd. overcrossing and Jerrold Ave. undercrossing in San Francisco. These nighttime closures are:
Southbound I-280 Monterey Blvd. On Ramp Closed from 9 PM to 6 AM
- Monday, July 7; Tuesday, July 8; Wednesday July 9
Northbound 1-280 Monterey Blvd. Off Ramp Closed from 7 PM to 5 AM
- Monday July 7; Tuesday, July 8; Wednesday July 9
The closures are necessary to allow work crews to complete pavement delineation work (striping) on the ramps. This work is part of an extensive project to repair two ramps and four connectors at several locations on I-280 from Monterey Blvd. to Cesar Chavez off-ramp. This project will be completed in July 2025.
Traffic Control Measures:
Changeable messages and directional detours will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. During the closures. Please drive with caution. Caltrans thanks motorists for their patience while we work to maintain our state’s highways, bridges, and tunnels.
