Rail Replacement Work State at Route 82/El Camino Real and De La Cruz Boulevard Overcrossing, Santa Clara County

Santa Clara County – Caltrans crews continue the bridge rail replacement project at De La Cruz Boulevard overcrossing along State Route 82(SR-82)/El Camino Real, in Santa Clara, Santa Clara County. The purpose of this project is to replace and upgrade existing vehicular and pedestrian railings, improve curb ramps, sidewalks, signals, and lights and to close underutilized non-ADA compliant pedestrian tunnels.

Bridge railing replacement is scheduled to be complete October 2025.

The public will have limited and/or restricted access to sidewalks, and curb ramps while this work is taking place.

Current construction activities at the Del La Cruz Blvd Overcrossing.
