Nightly Lane Closures for Eastbound, Westbound State Route 37 Capital Preventive Maintenance Project in Marin County

Marin County — Caltrans has scheduled lane closures for a Capital Preventive Maintenance project on Eastbound and Westbound State Route 37 (SR-37) in between Atherton Avenue and the Petaluma River Bridge in Novato.

Crews will install K-rail on Friday, May 9 between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the next morning in both directions of SR-37. At least one lane in each direction will be open for traffic.

Work will continue Monday, May 19 through Friday, May 23 from 4 a.m. through 1 p.m. each day in both directions of SR-37 as crews will demolish a concrete median barrier and adjust the K-rail. There are no scheduled lane closures the week of May 12 as originally reported.

All work Is weather dependent.

This capital maintenance pavement rehabilitation project involves paving and median barrier work in Novato. The project will grind and re-pave the roadway between the Ignacio overhead to the Petaluma River Bridge – a stretch of about three miles.
