Alameda and Contra Costa Counties – Caltrans has scheduled an overnight closure of Bore 4 of the Caldecott Tunnel on Eastbound State Route 24 (SR-24) for tunnel maintenance and inspection.
On Wednesday, May 7, 2025,from 10:00 PM to 4:30 AM. Bore 4 of the Caldecott Tunnel on Eastbound State Route 24 (SR-24) will be closed for tunnel maintenance and inspection.
During the work, all other bores in each direction will remain open.
All work is weather dependent.
Traffic Control Measures:
Changeable message signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra time. Please drive with caution through the construction zone. Slow for the Cone Zone.
