Overnight Alternating Ramp Closures
Watch for Ramp Detours Overnight
Solano County - Caltrans is starting construction on a major new project on I-80 in Solano County.
The work will repave and enhance all the onramp and exit ramps on eastbound and westbound I-80 between Vacaville and Fairfield. This includes 14 ramps on the main route between the Bay Area and Sacramento.
The work will also upgrade several sidewalks near these onramps and exit ramps to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
Construction is scheduled to start Monday, April 28 and be tentatively completed by Summer 2026.
For worker and public safety, during construction, Caltrans will need to alternate overnight onramp and exit ramp closures.
Starting the week of Monday, April 28, until further notice, Caltrans will begin work by scheduling overnight closures of the eastbound and westbound I-80 Leisure Town Road onramp and exit ramps. The closures of these ramps are scheduled from 8:00 PM until 4:00 AM the following mornings Monday through Fridays.
During the overnight ramp closures, motorists should be aware, expect delays and watch for various detour signs directing them in the immediate area.
As work at I-80 and Leisure Town Road is completed, Caltrans will begin work on the other I-80 on-ramp and exit ramps starting at Leisure Town in Vacaville and progressing, ramp by ramp from Vacaville westward towards Fairfield. Work and corresponding overnight closures will include the following ramps listed below. Work on each ramp will take approximately 2 weeks. Caltrans will make announcements as soon as new information is available.

- East Monte Vista Avenue
- Alamo Drive
- Allison Drive
Fairfield Onramps and I-80 Exit Ramps
- Waterman Boulevard / Airbase Parkway
- Rockville Road/ Oliver Road
- Manuel Campos Parkway
