Santa Clara County - Due to inclement weather Caltrans crews have performed a full road closure on State Route 9 (SR-9) Big Basin Way from Sanborn Road, to Redwood Gulch Road, in the city of Saratoga.
Changeable messaging boards indicating the detour routes are being activated, and a light tower will be in place tonight.
The closure is needed to allow crews to safely remove mud and debris, at the regrade slope on SR-9. Contractor crews will stay in the project site to monitor the conditions of the slide.
Motorists are advised to use alternative routes, expect delays and allow extra time when traveling. CMS Signs and detours will be in place.
