Westbound I-80 at Treasure Island/Yerba Buena Island on ramp (towards SF) to be closed overnight starting Thursday night

San Francisco – Caltrans will close the westbound Interstate 80 at Treasure Island/YBI (WB I-80) on ramp to the Bay Bridge (and San Francisco) on the night of Thursday, January 9, 2025, from 11:00 PM to 3:00 AM. The closure is necessary to allow crews to minor maintenance repairs.

Motorists driving from Treasure Island and Yerba Buena Island to San Francisco should expect delays during the closure. Motorists should use the following detour:

  1. Take the Treasure Island detour to the Eastbound 80 (EB80) onramp (toward Oakland).
  2. Travel in the far-left lane (Lane 1) on EB80 and exit at the Toll Plaza.
  3. Turn around onto WB80 to continue toward San Francisco.
