San Jose, Santa Clara County, Calif. – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform a full highway closure of northbound Interstate 880 (I-880) from Bascom Avenue to The Alameda in the city of San Jose, Santa Clara County. The full closure is needed so Caltrans Geophysics crews can safely perform roadway scanning for underground water and any other anomalies beneath the pavement. This work will provide information they need of the subsurface/sub-pavement conditions to provide an optimized solution for water that may be impacting the highway.
Motorists are advised to use alternative routes expect delays and allow extra time when traveling. Changeable Messaging Signs and detours will be in place.
FULL CLOSURE: Thursday, January 9, to Friday January 10.

Bascom Ave to W. Hedding Street, to The Alameda and back to NB I-880.
