UPDATE: State Route 9 in Saratoga, Santa Clara County, Reopens After Crews Clear Debris Between Redwood Gulch Rd. and Sanborn Rd

Santa Clara County – State Route 9 (SR-9) from Sanborn Rd. to Redwood Gulch Rd. near Saratoga is back open in both directions. Crews were able to re-open the highway at 5:00 PM, on Tuesday, December 17 after crews were able to clear the debris off the highway.

On Wednesday, Caltrans will continue to perform daily full highway closures on State Route 9 (SR-9) Big Basin Way from Sanborn Road, to Redwood Gulch Road, in the city of Saratoga. To ensure the safety of the traveling public and workers, the full closure will be in place Monday through Friday from 7AM to 5PM.

The closure is needed to allow crews to safely remove fallen trees, debris, clean drainage system and regrade the slope near SR-9.
