Nighttime Closure of State Route 37 (SR-37) at the Novato Creek Bridge for Drilling Work in Marin County

Schedule: Monday, Oct. 21 to Thursday, Oct. 24 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Marin County — Caltrans is scheduled to continue exploratory drilling on the Novato Creek Bridge Replacement project on State Route 37 (SR-37) in October. Drilling is required to determine the replacement bridge’s foundation requirements.

Caltrans will activate Changeable Message Signs (CMS) to notify the public ahead of time.

The Novato Creek Bridge Replacement is scheduled to go into construction in 2027.

With this project, Caltrans proposes to reduce flooding from stormwater and adapt to projected 2130 sea-level rise for Novato Creek Bridge on SR-37 in Marin County.
