Daytime, Nighttime One-way Traffic Control for State Route 1 (SR-1) Capital Maintenance Project Continues in Marin County

Marin County — Caltrans is scheduled to continue drainage work and culvert replacement on the State Route 1 (Shoreline Highway) Capital Preventative Maintenance Project..

Map location of State Route 1 Capital Maintenance Project in Marin CountyIntermittent one-way traffic control is scheduled north of Point Reyes for drainage work from Monday, July 15 through Friday, July 19 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Shoulder work in the town of Tomales will occur during that same time and will require a traffic shift.

On Wednesday, July 17, there will be one-way traffic control at the Mesa Road intersection in Point Reyes Station between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. for culvert replacement.

Changeable Message signs will be put up near Point Reyes Station to remind residents about the night work.

This overall project will repair segments of SR-1 and will include cycling and pedestrian upgrades.

The project is slated to make improvements during a nearly 14-mile stretch from Olema through Point Reyes Station and from Tomales to the county line.

The completion timeline for the project is Summer 2025.
