Alameda and Contra Costa Counties – Caltrans reopened all lanes on southbound Interstate 680 (I-680) between Alcosta Boulevard in San Ramon and the I-580/I-680 connector in Pleasanton at approximately 4:00 AM on Monday, June 3.

During this weekend’s partial lane closure, workers removed deteriorated pavement, replacing it with concrete for a smooth ride for motorists for decades to come.

Caltrans shrank 40 nights of nighttime closures into one weekend, sparing motorists three months of nighttime closures. Weekend closures also enhance safety for workers and motorists.

Learn more about the closure at www.680paving.com or leave a question on our project hotline at (510) 286-0319.
Caltrans thanks the motoring public for its patience as Caltrans works to operate and maintain our state’s highway bridges and tunnels including I-680.
