San Jose – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform a daytime closure of southbound State Route 280 (SR-280) Bird Avenue, off ramp, and southbound State Route 280 connector lane to northbound and southbound State Route 87, in San Jose, Santa Clara County. The ramp closures are needed for Caltrans crews to safely remove and install a new ground and storm water pump. Maintenance activities will include the use of a large crane and for public safety the SR87 connector ramps will be closed.
CLOSED: Southbound State Route 280 at Bird Ave off-ramp and Northbound and Southbound connector lanes to State Route 87:

Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra time. Please drive with caution through the construction zone. Slow for the Cone Zone.
