Sonoma and Solano Counties – The last scheduled eastbound State Route-37 (SR-37) weekend full highway closure between the SR-37/SR-121 interchange in Sonoma County and the SR-37/SR-29 Interchange in Solano County is scheduled the weekend starting Friday, May 17.
Eastbound SR-37 will be closed and traffic detoured beginning at the eastbound SR-37/SR-121 interchange in Sonoma County. Caltrans will perform major pavement repair work.
The eastbound SR-37 weekend full highway closure will start Friday, May 17 at 10:00 PM and conclude on the following Monday, May 20 at 5:00 AM. The closure is weather dependent.
EB SR-37 DETOUR:
Motorists traveling eastbound on SR-37 will need to exit left onto northbound SR-121 in Sonoma; Make a right on SR-12/SR-121(Carneros Hwy) and continue; Right on SR-12/SR-29; Enter left for the connector loop Off-ramp back to EB SR-37.

Alternating overnight full highway closure on Westbound and Eastbound SR-37
Starts Monday, May 20, 2024, at 9:00 PM
Once the weekend paving work is completed, Caltrans has scheduled alternating full overnight weekday closures on both Westbound and Eastbound State Route 37 to paint new lane lines on the newly paved roadway. This work is called striping work.
To ensure the safety of workers and motorists, Caltrans will need to fully close Westbound and Eastbound lanes on alternating nights. However, one traffic direction of SR-37 will remain open while work is performed on the opposite traffic direction.
Westbound SR-37 between the SR-37/SR-29 interchange in Vallejo and the SR-37/SR-121 interchange in Sonoma County is scheduled to be closed Monday, May 20 at 9:00 PM until Tuesday, May 21 at 4:00 AM.
Westbound SR-37 will also be closed Tuesday, May 21 at 9:00 PM until Wednesday, May 22 at 4:00 AM. Eastbound SR-37 will remain open.
Eastbound SR-37 between the SR-37/SR-121 interchange in Sonoma County and the SR-37/SR-29 interchange in Vallejo will be closed Wednesday, May 22 at 8:00 PM until Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 5:30 AM.
Eastbound SR-37 will also be closed Thursday May 23 at 9:00 PM until Friday, May 24 at 4:00 AM. Westbound SR-37 will remain open.
Westbound SR-37 DETOUR:
During Westbound SR-37 closures, motorists traveling westbound on SR-37 will need to:
- exit right onto northbound SR-29 (Sonoma Blvd) in Vallejo
- continue on NB SR-29 (Broadway) to SR-29/SR-12
- turn left and continue on SR-12/SR-121 (Carneros Hwy/Fremont Dr.)
- turn left on SR-121 (Arnold Dr.)
- Turn right back on WB SR-37
Eastbound SR-37 DETOUR:
During eastbound SR-37 closures, motorists traveling eastbound on SR-37 will need to:
- exit left onto northbound SR-121 in Sonoma
- Make a right on SR-12/SR-121(Carneros Hwy) and continue
- Right on SR-12/SR-29. Enter left for the connector loop Off-ramp back to EB SR-37
