Nightly Ramp, Lane Closures on US-101, State Route 131 (Tiburon Boulevard) as Bridge Preservation Project Continues in Marin County

Schedule: Monday, Dec. 11 through the morning of Saturday, Dec. 16

MARIN COUNTY – Caltrans is scheduled to continue its bridge preservation project in December. Work will be in different locations from Monday, Dec. 11 through Friday, Dec. 15 as crews will be replacing old concrete with polyester concrete in various locations throughout the county.

There will be various lane closures on Northbound US-101 in Novato on the bridge over Novato Creek on Monday, Dec. 11 from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. the next morning. There will be lane closures on Southbound US-101 in Novato on the bridge over Novato Creek from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the next morning. There will be at least two lanes open for traffic on both sides of US-101.

The Northbound US-101 on-ramp to Rowland Boulevard in Novato will be closed from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. There will be work on the Southbound US-101 off-ramp to Rowland Boulevard from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.

Various lanes will be closed from Eastbound State Route 131 (Tiburon Boulevard) to Westbound SR-131 in Mill Valley on Tuesday, Dec. 12 from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. the next morning. The Northbound US-101 off-ramp bus stop at Eastbound SR-131 will be closed during that same time.

There will be a lane closed on the Southbound US-101 connector off-ramp to Eastbound SR-131 from 11 p.m. until 6 a.m. At least one lane will be open for traffic.

The connector loop on-ramp to Northbound US-101 from Eastbound SR-131 will be closed from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m.

There will be work on the US-101 Northbound off-ramp to Eastbound Sir Francis Drake Boulevard over the Corte Madera Creek Bridge in Larkspur on Tuesday, Dec. 12 from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. the next morning.

There will be work on the US-101 Northbound off-ramp to Westbound Sir Francis Drake Boulevard over the Corte Madera Creek in Larkspur from 11 p.m. until 6 a.m. the next morning.

Various lanes will be closed near Francisco Boulevard/California Park overhead bridge in San Rafael on Northbound US-101 on Wednesday, Dec. 13 from 8 p.m. until 8 a.m. the next morning. Various lanes will be closed near Francisco Boulevard/California Park overhead bridge on Southbound US-101 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the next morning.

The Northbound US-101 off-ramp to the Richmond/San Rafael Bridge and Francisco Boulevard will be closed from on Wednesday, Dec. 13 from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.

There will be various lanes closed on Northbound US-101 near the Robin Williams Tunnel (Waldo Tunnel) and Sidehill Viaduct in Sausalito from Wednesday, Dec. 13 to Friday, Dec. 15 from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. the next mornings.

All work is dependent on weather.

Changeable message and directional signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) will be on-site during the closures.
