Nightly Ramp, Lane Closures on US-101, State Route 37 (SR-37) as Bridge Preservation Project Continues in Marin County

Schedule: Monday, Nov. 13 through the morning of Saturday, Nov. 18

MARIN COUNTY – Caltrans is scheduled to continue its bridge preservation project in San Rafael, Novato, and Sausalito in November. Work will be in different locations from Monday, Nov. 13 through Friday, Nov. 17 as crews will be replacing old concrete with polyester concrete in various locations throughout the county.

There will be various lane closures along Northbound US-101 near the Cal Park overhead in San Rafael on Monday, Nov. 13 from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. the next morning. There will be various lane closures on Southbound US-101 in the same location from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the next morning.

The Northbound US-101 connector off-ramp to Bellam Boulevard/ Eastbound I-580 will be closed on that same day from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. the next morning.

The Southbound US-101 on-ramp for Francisco Boulevard West will be closed from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the next morning.

Take Northbound US-101 on-ramp from Bellam Boulevard
Get on Northbound US-101
Take the off-ramp to Second Street
Take the on-ramp to US-101 Southbound from Second Street
Take US-101 and exit on 451B and get back on Southbound US-101

Detour for NB US-101 off-ramp to Richmond Bridge/Francisco Blvd
Continue to Northbound US-101 off-ramp to Second Street
Take Second Street on-ramp to Southbound US-101 and take the off-ramp for the Richmond Bridge/Francisco Boulevard

The Westbound State Route 37 (SR-37) to Northbound US-101 connector ramp to Novato will be closed on Tuesday, Nov. 14 from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. the next morning.

Take Southbound US-101
Take the off-ramp to Eastbound Ignacio Boulevard
Go Eastbound on Ignacio Boulevard and then go Southbound on Nave Drive
Take the on-ramp to Northbound US-101

There will be various lanes closed on Northbound US-101 near the Waldo Tunnel/Sidehill Viaduct in Sausalito from Wednesday, Nov. 15 through Friday, Nov. 17 from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. the next mornings.

All work is dependent on weather.

Changeable message and directional signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) will be on-site during the closures.
