Alameda and Contra Costa Counties ― Caltrans has scheduled overnight closures of the westbound #3 bore of State Route 24 (SR-24) Caldecott Tunnel Monday, October 23, 2023, through Wednesday, October 25, 2023, 10PM-4:30AM. The remaining two eastbound and one westbound bores will remain open during nightly work.
- WB #3 Bore Closed Monday, October 23, 2023, 10 PM:
The #3 westbound bore on SR-24 through the tunnel will be temporarily closed for tunnel maintenance work. The closure will occur Monday, October 23 through Wednesday, October 25 starting at 10:00 PM each night Until 4:30 AM the following morning.
- WB #3 Bore Closed Tuesday, October 24, 2023, 10 PM:
The #3 westbound bore on SR-24 through the tunnel will be temporarily closed for tunnel maintenance work. The closure will occur Tuesday, October 24 through Wednesday, October 25 starting at 10:00 PM each night until 4:30 AM the following morning.

The #3 westbound bore on SR-24 through the tunnel will be temporarily closed for tunnel maintenance work. The closure will occur Wednesday, October 25, 2023, starting at 10:00 PM until 4:30 AM the following morning.
Traffic Control Measures:
Changeable message signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra time. Please drive with caution through the construction zone. Slow for the Cone Zone.
