Work will tentatively re-start on Monday, October 16
MARIN COUNTY — Caltrans has re-scheduled work on the Richardson Bridge project along Southbound and Northbound US-101 for later in September. Construction for the project will involve the replacement of the existing asphalt concrete bridge deck surface with polyester concrete on US-101 at Richardson Bay Bridge in Sausalito and Mill Valley.
Canceled: As many as three lanes near Richardson Bridge are scheduled to be closed on Southbound US-101 on Monday, Sept. 11 and Tuesday, Sept. 12 between 5 p.m. and 5 a.m. each day. At least one lane will be open for traffic.
The southbound connector ramp from US-101 to State Route 1 will be closed on Monday, Sept. 11 and Tuesday, Sept. 12 between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. the next mornings.
The SB on-ramp to Redwood Highway Frontage Road will be closed on Monday, Sept. 11 and Tuesday, Sept. 12 between 6 p.m. and 7 a.m. the next mornings.
As many as three lanes near Richardson Bridge are scheduled to be closed on Northbound US-101 from Wednesday, Sept. 13 to Friday, Sept. 15 between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. each day. At least one lane will be open for traffic.
The Northbound US-101 connector ramp to SR-1 and the Northbound US-101 on-ramp to Marin City will be closed from Wednesday, Sept. 13 to Friday, Sept. 15 from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m.
The Northbound US-101 off-ramp to Redwood Highway Frontage Road will be closed from Wednesday, Sept. 13 to Friday, Sept. 15 between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m.
All work depends on weather.
The bicycle lane on the US-101 southbound shoulder will be shut down during construction hours on Monday and Tuesday. Cyclists can take a detour onto US-101 northbound to Frontage Road, turn on Hamilton Drive and then onto the Mill Valley Sausalito bike path. Detour signs will be posted.

Cyclists can take a detour to US-101 southbound onto the Mill Valley Sausalito bike path, take a right on Hamilton Drive and a left on Redwood Highway Frontage Road. Detour signs will be posted.
Changeable message and directional signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) will be on-site during the closures.

There will be some noise and dust in the area due to the project.
