SAN LEANDRO / ALAMEDA COUNTY – Caltrans has scheduled nighttime lane closures in San Leandro for striping and traffic signal work July 24-28.
The closures are nighttime only and will begin at 8 p.m. and end at 7 a.m. the next morning.
Work will take place on East 14th Street (State Route 185) from Broadmoor Boulevard to Davis Street.
Every effort will be made to minimize inconvenience, but construction noise cannot be entirely avoided. Caltrans thanks residents for your patience.
For the next five weeks, there will be lane closures along Davis Street and East 14th Street in various locations between 8 p.m. and 7 a.m. the next morning to accommodate traffic signal (loop) work.
Unforeseeable circumstances such as weather, materials availability and site developments may cause the schedule to vary.
This work is part of an overall paving project that will continue into the end of the year.
The purpose of the closures is to accommodate work on a project improving curb ramps and repaving the roadway that will enhance safety and provide a smooth ride to motorists.
Directional signage will be in place to guide motorists.
