SUNOL/PLEASANTON – Northbound Interstate 680 WILL BE OPEN between Sunol Boulevard and Bernal Avenue Memorial Day weekend. The previously announced Memorial Day closure is CANCELED.

There will be no closure of I-680 in the Sunol/Pleasanton area Memorial Day weekend. There will be one more weekend closure in the area, however, the decision has not yet been made as to which weekend. The public will be notified in advance when the date is determined.

The purpose of the weekend closures is to safely accommodate work on a roadway reconstruction project on northbound I-680 stretching from Sunol to San Ramon – the Northbound Interstate 680 Pavement Rehabilitation Project.

Currently, I-680 is closed overnight Sunday through Thursday nights in the area to accommodate work on the project. The closures begin at 10 p.m. and the roadway reopens at 5 a.m. the next morning. These closures are continuing. The public will be notified when the closures are discontinued.
