MARIN COUNTY — Caltrans will continue its pothole repair/repaving project in March along northbound and southbound State Route 1 (SR-1) (Shoreline Highway) in various locations across the county. The project was needed after Bay Area storms affected the roadways along SR-1 in Marin County.

Work will occur just south of Point Reyes Station toward Olema on Thursday, March 2 and Friday, March 3 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. both days. One-way traffic control will be used.

Depending on time, work also could occur just north of Point Reyes Station on Friday, March 3 between the same hours. One-way traffic control will be used in that area too.

All work is dependent on weather. Motorists are encouraged to allow extra time and plan their routes ahead of time.

Work on this project began in late January in Mill Valley, and crews are making their way north on SR-1 in February and March.

Caltrans understands the one-way traffic control will impact the daily commute for residents who live in Marin County.

Changeable message and directional signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) will be on-site during the closures.

Please drive with caution. Slow for the Cone Zone and Be Work Zone Alert. Caltrans thanks motorists for their patience while we work to maintain our state's highways, bridges, and tunnels.
