State Route 24 (SR-24) Caldecott Tunnel Overnight Closure - #1 and #4 Bore Maintenance Work

ALAMEDA AND CONTRA COSTA COUNTIES – Caltrans has scheduled overnight closures of the eastbound number one bore and westbound number four bore of the State Route 24 (SR-24) Caldecott Tunnel on Tuesday, February 7 and Thursday, February 9. During the work, all other bores in each direction will always remain open.

Eastbound Bore #1 Closed Tuesday, February 7:
The #1 eastbound bore on SR-24 through the tunnel will be temporarily closed for tunnel maintenance work. The closure will occur Tuesday, February 7, through Wednesday February 8 starting at 10:00 PM until 4:30 AM the following morning.

Westbound Bore #4 Closed Friday, January 20:
The #4 westbound bore on SR-24 through the tunnel will be temporarily closed for tunnel maintenance work. The closure will occur Thursday, February 9, through Friday, February 10 starting at 10:00 PM until 4:30 AM the following morning.

Traffic Control Measures:
Changeable message signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra time. Please drive with caution through the construction zone. Slow for the Cone Zone.
