ALAMEDA AND CONTRA COSTA COUNTIES – Caltrans has scheduled overnight closures of the eastbound number one and two bores of the State Route 24 (SR-24) Caldecott Tunnel on Tuesday, October 11 through Thursday morning, October 13. During the work, all other bores in each direction will always remain open.
Eastbound Bore #2 Closed Tuesday, October 11:
The #2 bore on SR-24 through the tunnel will be temporarily closed for tunnel maintenance work. The closure will occur Tuesday, October 11 through Wednesday morning, October 12 starting at 10:00 PM until 4:00 AM the following morning.
Eastbound Bore #1 Closed Wednesday, October 12:
The #1 bore on SR-24 through the tunnel will be temporarily closed for tunnel maintenance work. The closure will occur Wednesday, October 12 through Thursday morning, October 13 starting at 10:00 PM until 4:00 AM the following morning.
Traffic Control Measures:
Changeable message signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra time. Please drive with caution through the construction zone. Slow for the Cone Zone.
