Overnight Four-Hour Closures of I-80 At Gilman Interchange in Berkeley October 24, 25, 26 and 27, 2022

BERKELEY – Caltrans will close Interstate 80 for four hours overnight at the Gilman Street interchange in Berkeley for four nights, October 24, 25, 26 and 27, 2002.

Eastbound I-80 will close at 1 a.m. October 24 between the Gilman off-ramp and the Gilman on-ramp and reopen four hours later at 5 a.m.

Eastbound I-80 will close at 1 a.m. October 25 between the Gilman off-ramp and the Gilman on-ramp and reopen four hours later at 5 a.m.

Westbound I-80 will close at 11:59 p.m. between the Gilman off-ramp and the Gilman on-ramp on October 25 and reopen at 5 a.m. the following morning on October 26.

Westbound I-80 will close at 11 p.m. October 27 between the Gilman off-ramp and the Gilman on-ramp and reopen at 3 a.m. the following morning on October 28.

The purpose of the closure is to accommodate work on the bicycle/pedestrian overcrossing Caltrans is building south of Gilman Street.

Detours:

Motorists going toward San Francisco on I-80 will be directed to take the preceding exit, the Albany exit. Motorists heading away from San Francisco will take the University Avenue exit. California Highway Patrol officers will be on hand and CMS signs will guide motorists.
