EB I-80 5th St. Onramp To Be Closed Wednesday, August 17th and Thursday August 18th To Replace Overhead Guide Sign On I-80

EB I-80 Lanes 3, 4, & 5 on the Bay Bridge Will Also Be Closed For Work
on the Currently Closed Yerba Buena Island Exit on the Right Side

SAN FRANCISCO - Caltrans will be installing a new overhead guide sign on EB I-80 near 3^rd St. in San Francisco.

For public and worker safety, the following onramp and lane closures will be in effect:

• Starting Wednesday, August 17^th, and continuing through Thursday, August 18^th, the EB I-80 onramp at 5^th St. will be closed from 11 PM – 6 AM each night. This will allow Caltrans to close lanes 2 and 3 on EB I-80.
• Lanes 3, 4, and 5 of EB I-80 on the Bay Bridge through Yerba Buena Island will be closed from 11 PM – 6 AM each night.

Travel on WB 80 should not be affected by the sign work or the work in preparation of the reopening of the Yerba Buena Island offramp on the right side of the bridge.

The right side Yerba Buena Island offramp has been closed for almost 20 years.
