CORRECTED DATE: July 8 starting at 10 p.m. until July 11 at 7 a.m.

SAUSALITO—Caltrans has scheduled a full two-lane out of four-lane closure (57 hours) on northbound U.S. 101 in Marin County starting from Friday, July 8 at 10 p.m. until Monday, July 11 at 7 a.m. in Sausalito, Marin County.

UPDATE: The original 57-hour closure was scheduled to start June 24 but has been rescheduled for the weekend of July 9.

The project aims to replace a damaged drainage system and repave the roadway located in the number one lane on northbound U.S. 101 just north of the Robin Williams Tunnel (also known as the Waldo Tunnel) to the Rodeo Avenue off-ramp. No on or off ramps will be closed. Two lanes will be closed during the construction work; one lane will be used as a safety buffer lane.

Please allow additional time for your travel plans, as expected delays may range from 30 to 60 minutes. Use alternate bridges such as the Oakland/San Francisco Bay Bridge and the Richmond/San Rafael Bridge. Changeable message and directional signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area.

We ask that you please drive with caution within the construction zone. Caltrans thanks motorists for their patience while we work to maintain our state’s highways, bridges, and tunnels. For realtime traffic, click on Caltrans QuickMap: http://quickmap.dot.ca.gov/
